Track finished in 1921, modified in 1937 - added a brick banking of Nordschleife (43,6 degrees), in 1939 Südkehre reconstructed as a standard highway-crossing and new one built in the half of track in the fifties, in 1967 banking of Nordschleife destroyed because of fatal accidents and reconstruction of Nordschleife to crossing too. In ninetieths shortened again and later added a chicane between Südkehre and Nordschleife entrance. In 1999 abandoned. The Mercedes Turm and grandstand still exists (as a motel and a memorial), in middle of Nordschleife is TIR parking.
